Accidentally entering .onion link without any protection, am I at risk?

This just happens recently while I browsing a subreddit, there was supposedly a comment pointing to an image I'd like to see, but upon clicking it I got redirected to what it seemed to be .onion link, apparently it uses tor2web proxy so I can entering just fine without having tor browser installed (I used opera browser). I noticed the url contain obscure string of letter and a .onion.pet domain (at this moment I knew it was onion proxy site), I rushed off to close the tab, my heart skipped a beat and I'm legit scared now because I connected to my home network, I don't wanna put my entire setup at risk. The site does not contain any illegal things whatsoever, only a big banner that says welcome to (sitename) and really long article I didn't care to read. What might be the risk of entering .onion link unprotected ? Can they really hack my system ? I can post the link here if it's permitted.
