What physical spyware/malware can be installed on a laptop given enough time?

I unwittingly gave complete access to my laptop to the attacker for a few hours. Now I get harassed by perfectly timed messages on forums. Feels like they are directly watching my monitor. Thought it was software and tried just about everything I know: -replaced my hard drives. Reinstalled Win10 -prevent reinfection by avoiding used usbs, weird links and sites -use vpn 24/7 -updated systems and antivirus I'm saying all this because I don't think I'm getting reinfected nor network sniffed. Also because I remember my attacker asking me for small tools like screwdrivers before those few hours. Probably to open the laptop. So that's what brings the question. Let's say someone comes prepared. What could they physically install? I've read some threads here: Is momentary physical access dangerous? What are the potential risks of leaving a device in public, but locked? Of particular interest to me is a post mentioning the existence of "In-line intercepts for monitor cables, allowing a third party to see the monitor's display" Anyone has or know where to get more info on these kinds or similar devices?
